Sheards have a fantastic full time position available for an enthusiastic individual to join our hard working and friendly team. The individual will have excellent communication and people skills, as great client relationships are essential to the service that we offer at Sheards.
The successful candidate will be qualified, or qualified by experience with at least 5 years practice experience, and seeking a role that will give them their own portfolio of business clients for which they will provide a full range of accounting and tax services.
The role will specifically involve the preparation of accounts and tax returns for small to medium sized businesses and their owners. The role will evolve into one in which forecasting and management reporting for clients will be required, so candidates with experience of such work will have a strong application. We use Iris practice software, so existing knowledge of Iris would be useful, although not essential.
The day-to-day responsibilities for the role include:
- Preparation of financial statements for small and medium sized limited companies
- Corporation tax calculations and submissions
- Submission of management accounts
- Self Assessment tax returns
- Other tax compliance, such as P11D's
- Review of work of junior members of the team
We would expect candidates to have good knowledge and experience of cloud based book-keeping packages. The firm has for some time offered cloud based solutions to clients, and we are partners with both Quick Books and Kashflow as we ensure that we give clients innovative solutions for their accounting function.
