We have been shortlisted for both the “Best Employer” and the “Independent Firm of the Year” categories at this year's awards for the third year in a row.
The Yorkshire Accountancy Awards celebrates the achievements and successes from the region's best and brightest accountants, auditors and advisors across the Yorkshire region.
Reviewing the award entries for this year's awards was an independent judging panel composed of accredited professionals who evaluated entries and shared a shortlist of finalists that reflects the talent, commitment and dedication of the accountancy profession in the region.
We've had a really successful 12 months, with a trio of qualifications achieved by junior members of the team. We are also currently recruiting for three roles within the business including an Apprentice Accountant, a Senior Accountant and a Practice Accountant/Bookkeeper.
For the best employer category, finalists showcased training initiatives and accreditations received, dedication to development and welfare of staff, jobs created in the region and recognition from staff and training providers.
Entries for the independent firm of the year were asked to demonstrate client appreciation, client initiatives which set them apart from competitors, contribution to the business community and recognition from other firms.
Commenting on the announcement, Kevin Winterburn, director at Sheards Accountancy said: “We are over the moon to be shortlisted for not one but two awards at this year's Yorkshire Accountancy Awards. This is the third year in a row we've been fortunate enough to shortlist in these categories and it's a testament to the hard work of the entire team.
“Over the past 12 months, we've been committed to delivering important services to all of our clients, supporting them with the ongoing changes and business objectives. With the ongoing pandemic, the team have been on hand everyday to support clients with additional activities and take advantage of government support schemes within their industries.
“We're really looking forward to celebrating our achievements at the upcoming ceremony.”
The awards ceremony will take place on 8th July at New Dock Hall, Leeds.
