We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our hard working and friendly team as a Bookkeeper.
The individual will have excellent communication and people skills, as great client relationships are essential to the service that we offer at Sheards. This is a full time role, but part time would be considered.
The role specifically involves maintaining the accounting records for our clients. It is therefore essential that applicants have previously worked in a similar role in an accountancy practice, where the ability to switch smoothly between working for lots of different clients is vital.
At Sheards our clients have been using cloud book-keeping products for several years, and as a result they are integral to how we work every day. Whilst training will be given as required, applications from those with experience of products such as QuickBooks and Xero will be favourably considered.
The day-to-day responsibilities for the role include:
- Book-keeping on cloud products
- Submission of VAT returns
- Submission of monthly CIS returns
This role will evolve over time as improvements with software and apps will mean that accountancy will continue to rapidly evolve in the coming years. As a result, applicants must have an appetite to learn in a changing environment, and will be rewarded with a varied and enjoyable role.
