We have a fantastic opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic accountant to join us at Sheards as we expand our team as a part of improving and expanding our service offering to our clients in this fast evolving digital age.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience within an accountancy practice, and seeking a role that will give them their own portfolio of business clients for which they will provide a full range of accounting and tax services. The individual will have excellent communication and people skills, as great client relationships are essential to the service that we offer at Sheards.
The role will specifically involve the preparation of accounts and tax returns for small to medium sized businesses and their owners. The role will evolve into one in which forecasting and management reporting for clients will be required, so candidates with experience of such work will have a strong application. We use Iris practice software, so existing knowledge of Iris would be useful, although not essential.
We would expect candidates to have good knowledge and experience of cloud based book-keeping packages. The firm has for some time offered cloud based accounting solutions to clients, and we are partners with Quick Books, Xero and Kashflow, ensuring that we give clients innovative solutions for their accounting function.
The successful candidate will not only be able to prepare management and year end accounts, but also be able to see beyond the numbers in order to assist clients with their business, adding value to the service we offer.
