We’re delighted to announce the appointment of our 18th member of staff and new apprentice, Alice Spencer.
We would like to give a warm welcome to Alice, who has recently started with us as an Apprentice Accountant and will be studying towards her AAT qualification.
As part of her apprenticeship, Alice attends Kaplan Financial once a week in Leeds. Having had family members go down the accountancy route she decided to pursue her love for Maths by following in the same footsteps.
We were seriously impressed with Alice’s excellent academic record and experience in an office environment and customer service role. Alice showed real determination to progress in accountancy in her interview, which along with past experience, made us feel certain that Alice was the right person to join our team.
Our Director, Kevin Winterburn said: “Alice will make a great addition to our team, and we’re really looking forward to sharing our knowledge and expertise with her to help her become a fully qualified accountant and add to her already impressive skill set.”
To support our business strategy, Alice’s primary role here will be assisting the clients moving who are moving onto Cloud Accounting, as well as learning about all aspects of accounting.
We have always been committed to the training and development of our team; our past three apprentices are still on board with us and are all now fully trained accountants, and we are confident that the same will apply for Alice.
Alice said: “I am very excited to be part of the Sheards team. They have a great reputation, and I feel as though I will learn a lot here. I am excited to learn new things and develop my accountancy skills while gaining first-hand experience in the accountancy industry, and look forward to the challenges ahead.”
Outside of work, Alice enjoys going to the gym and baking… so we’re hoping this means she’ll bring some of her baking into the office!
