David Firth - a member of our team - has recently celebrated 40 years service with the firm.

Here is an extract of a feature which appeared in the Huddersfield Daily Examiner:

A cricket-loving accountant has celebrated 40 years’ service with the same Huddersfield firm.

David Firth, joined chartered accountants Fred Sheard & Sons in August 1967 after graduating in mathematics from Durham University. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1971. Partners and colleagues at the New North Road firm, now called Sheards, presented Mr Firth with an engraved carriage clock and a biography of Freddie Trueman signed by the Yorkshire team. Mr Firth is a member of Yorkshire Cricket Club.

Sheards partner Kevin Winterburn said: “To reach 40 years service at Sheards is a tremendous display of loyalty, an achievement that we are delighted to formally acknowledge.”
